The maker
Maison Lumiére is one person, a workshop in Nassau, and a lot of wax.
Vashanti Wallace started Maison Lumiére in 2023, pouring coconut soy candles in small batches at home in Nassau. Everything still gets made the same way: measured, poured, cured, labelled and boxed by hand.
Coconut soy is a slower, more expensive wax than paraffin. It burns cleaner, it holds fragrance better, and it does not throw soot at your ceiling. That choice is most of why these cost what they cost.
The scents come from here. Guava Duff smells like the dessert. Spiced Coconut smells like the island it is named for. The rest are the ones that kept getting requested until they became permanent.

Why coconut soy
A slower wax, on purpose.
Paraffin is cheaper and easier to work with. It also throws soot, burns faster and holds fragrance badly. Coconut soy costs more per pour and needs more patience while it cures, and that is the whole reason these smell the way they do at the bottom of the jar as well as the top.
It is most of why these are priced where they are. We would rather explain that than quietly cut it.
Come and smell them.
Message us and we will tell you honestly which one suits the room you are trying to change.
